The group urged the senator to support a measure preventing the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act. Rockefeller obliged the activists by issuing legislation meant to suspend EPA regulations on GHG’s in West Virginia. He believes such regulations should be handed down by congress rather than the EPA.
