With President Barack Obama declaring that the Gulf oil spill has pointed up the need for energy legislation, Democrats are under increasing pressure to act. But the problems confronting them were evident at a meeting Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) had with his leadership team and committee chairmen to hash out options for doing something this summer.
