Reader Clinton K. wrote, "We've boxed ourselves into an energy corner so we have little choice but to drill wherever we can find oil. That said, accidents happen and too often the unintended consequences aren't fully reflected at the gas pump but hit our pockets elsewhere. We are too slowly reducing our use of oil in favor of other energy sources. I hope the change accelerates before our delays catch up with us."
